Hu Yabo, Secretary of the Jingmen Municipal Party Committee, led a team to research the Debrecen factory of EVE Energy.

On July 2nd, Hu Yabo, Secretary of the Jingmen Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to Hungary to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Sister Cities with the Debrecen Municipal Government. During the visit, they also conducted research on the Hungarian project of EVE Energy. Alexander Holden, Senior Vice President of EVE Energy, Zhou Hongyan, President of EVE Power, and other executives participated in this event.

Research the Hungarian project

Secretary Hu Yabo and the team researched the Hungarian project of EVE Energy to gain an in-depth understanding of the company, project development status, and plans. Liang Rongbin, Vice President of EVE Power and Director of the Hungarian Industrialization Project, introduced the global layout of EVE Energy and reported the company’s strategic planning and business development on a global scale. Dr. Guike, General Manager of EVE Energy Strategy Department, shared the EVE Energy CLS global cooperation model which will form a good complement to the existing battery business and industrial synergy to further promote the development of the global industrial chain.

Zhou Hongyan, President of EVE Power, expressed her gratitude to Secretary Hu Yabo and the team for their arrival. She said that EVE Energy will be more confident and determined to complete the project successfully. EVE Energy has been committed to building the capabilities of "global manufacturing, global delivery, global cooperation". It actively promotes the process of internationalization and globalization, implements a regional headquarters management model, and invests in the construction of production bases, R&D centers, and sales centers in Europe, America, and other places. The Debrecen factory represents an important strategy for EVE Energy to improve its global layout, marking a new level of international capabilities.

Signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Sister Cities

After the factory inspection, the leaders of the Jingmen People's Government, accompanied by the executive team of EVE Energy, went to the Debrecen Municipal Government to attend the MOU on Sister Cities signing ceremony between Jingmen City and Debrecen City. This signing will lay a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two cities in the fields of economy, culture, education, new energy, and others.

At the signing ceremony, Secretary Hu Yabo congratulated Mayor László Papp on his re-election and thanked the local government for the warm reception. Then he introduced the development of Jingmen City, emphasizing its advantages in humanities, history, resources, transportation, and industry. He especially pointed out that Jingmen is an important new energy power battery industry base in China, which has formed a full life cycle from basic raw materials to waste battery recycling industrial chain. Afterwards, he spoke highly of Debrecen's achievements in new industrialization and new energy industry construction, and also pointed out that the development of the two cities has many things in common. After that, he expressed his wish that there would be a greater development in Debrecen in the future. Finally, he mentioned that EVE Energy is a bridge connecting Jingmen and Debrecen. The promotion of EVE Energy bonds both cities and deepens their friendship in the future.

Mayor László Papp denoted that he hopes the two governments will establish a good communication mechanism to learn from each other and develop together. He showed his confidence in the prospects of cooperation between the two cities after recalling General Secretary Xi Jinping signed 18 agreements with the Hungarian Prime Minister during his visit to Hungary. At the same time, László Papp highly appreciated the development and innovation speed of China's science and technology, and looked forward to cooperation in more fields in the future. When talking about local economic development, he mentioned that investment from Chinese-funded enterprises, such as EVE Energy, is significant to promote local economic development and help Debrecen better enter the international stage. The government will provide a good business environment for Chinese-funded enterprises, actively coordinate resources from all parties to solve problems for enterprise development, and promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two governments and the two countries.
