Digital Empowerment Support Low Carbon Manufacturing, EVE Energy Vice President Sang Tian attended and delivered a keynote speech at the China Automotive Industry Chain Low Carbon Action Plan Seminar.

Recently, the 2023 China Automotive Industry Chain Low Carbon Action Plan Seminar was held in Beijing, and EVE Energy Vice President Sang Tian was invited to participate in the seminar, share his experience and discuss about "Digitalization and Low-Carbon Technology Innovation for High-Quality Development of Power Batteries".

Sang Tian introduced that EVE Energy has achieved carbon reduction in the whole life cycle of lithium battery with sustainable technology innovation, low-carbon product design, battery recycling technology innovation, next-door-supply, green packaging and other measures, and more actively implement “Zero-Carbon Factory”, extreme manufacturing, water-light storage peaking regulation, high efficiency cooling station to promote green low-carbon and high-quality development.

About "Low-Carbon Product Design", Sang Tian shared a case study, due to the volatility of photovoltaic power generation, EVE Energy developed and designed LF560K large LFP battery for this purpose, which can reduce 10% of the usage cost of power storage users and better support large-scale integration. Assuming 300GW PV power plant with 60GWh energy storage power plant, it can be equivalent to a 90GW coal power unit, and this action can make the scenic power station equivalent to the thermal power generation in the past. At the same time, the amount of carbon reduction is also very significant, and the amount of carbon reduction can replace 110 million tons of standard coal in a year.

Regarding "water-light storage and peak regulation", a large number of renewable energy devices are installed in the factory, including photovoltaic, electrochemical energy storage and water storage and cooling projects, to cut peaks and fill valleys, achieve flexible load regulation, smooth energy fluctuations, reduce peak supply pressure on the social grid, and enhance operational resilience.

It is also possible to sell load in the electricity market at times of peak social electricity consumption. For example, in 2022, the company's participation in "demand-side response" during the peak of social electricity consumption will generate revenue of 2.49 million yuan. It is expected to support 47,000 residential households in 2023 and 99,000 in 2025.

Looking ahead to the current low-carbon environment in which the manufacturing industry finds itself, Sang Tian also made some suggestions for further carbon reduction strategies in the future:

1.     Expect to accelerate the introduction of renewable power market-based trading support policies, reduce market transaction costs, improve cross-provincial trading rules, and enrich the "Next door electricity sale" and other trading models.

2.     Expect to promote the introduction of low-carbon product regulations for the lithium battery industry, accelerate the improvement of the national standard system for the carbon footprint of products in the lithium battery industry chain, and add Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the international trade rules of the new energy vehicle industry.

3.     Expect to introduce investment promotion policies for renewable power generation industry and strengthen the resource allocation of electrochemical energy storage power plants in the investment of renewable power generation industry, so as to optimize the energy consumption structure and promote the decarbonization of China's power generation industry.
