Ultimate Manufacturing Future of Digital Intelligence - The commissioning of 73GWh Factory: Site 6, 7, 8, 9 and the Groundbreaking Ceremony of "60GWh Super Factory" was successfully held.

On the 1st of February, the commissioning of 73GWh Factory: Site 6, 7, 8, 9 and the Groundbreaking Ceremony of "60GWh Super Factory" was successfully held in Jingmen. The ceremony was witnessed by Secretary of Jingmen Municipal Committee Hu Yabo, Deputy Secretary of Jingmen Municipal Committee and Mayor Chen Jiawei, EVE Chairman Dr. Liu Jincheng, EVE president Liu Jianhua, and other senior executives of the company, as well as representatives of enterprises and media. The ceremony was hosted by Standing Committee Member and Executive Vice Mayor of Jingmen City Liang Zaoyang.

 At the opening of the ceremony, Dr. Yuan Dingding, Chief Technical Officer of EVE Lithium Iron Battery, introduced that EVE is deeply engaged in fast-charging technology innovation, and lithium iron phosphate technology has been accumulated since 2015, and has developed to the third generation of high specific energy technology platform. EVE has taken the lead in the industry that realized 800V system integration application, and will continue to launch new ultra-fast charging products in the field of reducing the total cost of the whole society, build a fast energy replenishment system, and provide consumers with a low-carbon and efficient travel experience.

At the event, EVE's 60GWh Super Factory project was also announced, and General Manager of EVE's Factory Planning Department, Wei Na, presented to the guests the innovative highlights of the Super Factory, which is designed to significantly improve capacity efficiency and reduce production costs through integration and digital intelligence. After the completion of the super factory, the annual production capacity will be 60GWh, and the mass production product will be EVE's new generation energy storage battery LF560K. The operating cost of the supporting energy storage power plant can be lower than that of the pumped storage power plant, which can meet the large-scale and high economic demand of the energy storage market.

EVE Chairman Dr. Liu Jincheng, delivered a speech, stating that the completion and operation of EVE site 6, 7, 8 and 9 have provided the company with sufficient delivery capacity in each product direction along the new energy industry chain. In this context, EVE focuses its attention on the future direction of power storage battery technology development and plans to build a more advanced and intelligent super factory that can represent the highest production level in the world. In the future new energy industry track, we will continue to iterate and upgrade to improve efficiency. 

He mentioned that EVE Super Factory will also work closely with industry chain enterprises to strengthen cooperation, improve the industrial cluster effect and continuously reduce logistics, production and operation costs.

Afterwards, Dr. Liu Jincheng awarded the plaques to each factory that was completed and put into operation, and EVE Power Vice President Liang Rongbin, Dr. Bai Chengdong, Dr. Gong Genfei and Xu Bo received the plaques and delivered their respective speeches.

On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, Mayor Chen Jiawei expressed his warm congratulations to EVE on the commissioning of the factories and the start of the construction of the super factory. He mentioned that since EVE settled in Jingmen in 2012, it has made high-density investments and high-frequency expansion, driving a large number of industry chain head enterprises to settle in Jingmen and building the largest power battery full life-cycle industry cluster in Central China. Today the start of "60GWh Super Factory" is a key step for Jingmen's power storage battery capacity to break through 200GWh, which will provide strong support for Jingmen's new energy and new material industry output value to cross the 200 billion level.

Project Introduction

EVE Site 6, 7, 8 and 9 are the production bases of EVE power storage batteries, with a total investment of 16.6 billion RMB and a production capacity of 73GWh, adhering to the concept of "Ultimate Manufacturing" to build an industry-leading battery production base and provide customers with high-quality products.

On the afternoon of January 31st, Hubei Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Governor Wang Zhonglin had a discussion with EVE Chairman Dr. Liu Jincheng and other entrepreneurs in Wuhan. After the seminar, EVE Power signed a Contract with the Management Committee of Jingmen High-tech Zone, planning to invest an additional 10.8 billion yuan and acquire about 1,000 mu of land for a new 60GWh power storage battery super factory.
