On the 29th of July, the construction of the first phase of the EVE Energy Chengdu Power Energy Storage Battery Project was launched in Chengdu, Sichuan. Chengdu Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary General, Secretary of Longquanyi District Party Committee, Secretary of Chengdu Economic Development Zone Party Working Committee Haibo Du, Chengdu Vice Mayor Rongsheng Xian, City Investment Promotion Bureau Director Xingxuan He and other city and district leaders of relevant departments attended and witnessed together with EVE senior executives such as EVE Energy Vice President Hailin Chen.

In his speech, Hailin Chen expressed his gratitude for the strong support from various departments in Chengdu and mentioned that Chengdu has been known as the “Land of Heaven” since ancient times. Chengdu Economic Development Zone (Longquanyi District), where this project is located, has obvious advantages in location, industry, talents and logistics, which is an ideal place for new energy enterprises to invest and develop their business. EVE will carefully plan and construct the project and strive to make it a model benchmark project in Chengdu, contributing to the high-quality development of Chengdu's economy and society.

Then, under the joint witness of the personnel, District Governor Jian Zhou announced the project launch.

The project plans to invest a total of 200 billion RMB. It will be divided into two phases to build a 50GWh per year power storage battery production base and Chengdu Research Institute. The first phase includes a 20GWh power storage battery production base and the first phase of the Research Institute.
With this groundbreaking ceremony as an opportunity to further speed up, innovate and make breakthroughs, EVE will make every effort to build a world-class factory, work together with Chengdu Economic Development Zone to build a green automotive industry ecosystem, and help Chengdu build a national demonstration zone for high-quality development of manufacturing industry.
